BBC Earth’s Regeneration Food
Project information
Welcome to Re:Generation Food.
Sourcy worked closely with award-winning author and food-waste activist Max La Manna to write, direct and shoot a five-part series for BBC Earth delving deep into the UK’s most-wasted food items and their wider environmental impacts. The show showcased how businesses, organisations and leaders are wasting less in an attempt to reduce their carbon footprint, Max also created zero-waste recipes to inspire us to cook more with what we already have.
For BBC Earth’s audience of over 21 million across Facebook and Instagram, Sourcy wrote and produced this online series spending months researching stats on leftovers, writing recipes, contacting NGOs and filming our most-frittered fridge items. The series touched on everything from soil health with the Soil Association to circular economies with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to beer made from leftover bread.
The first episode alone accrued over 1.2 million views on BBC Earth’s Facebook page.
